Meet our New Department Guard
|
Kathy Dixon |
Kathy Dixon, our new Department Guard, joined the Auxiliary in 1987 under
the eligibility of her father a WW II and Korean War veteran. Over the
years, Kathy has held nearly every office and chaired all programs on the
Auxiliary and District levels. She has been President of Auxiliary 2423 in
Indian Trail for 16 years, and has served 4 terms as District 13 President.
On the Department level, she has served as the Western Area Membership
Chairman twice, and Dept. President's Special Project Chairman. She has
earned awards for Auxiliary President of the Year, and Runner-up Auxiliary
President of the Year, and her Auxiliary's Member of the year for 6
consecutive years.
Kathy is a Life Member, who loves the work we do for our veterans and their
families. She has a very loving family, consisting of two daughters and
their husbands and one grandson. She also has two sisters and three
brothers who support her in this endeavor. She sees the members of this
organization as an extension of her family.
Employed in the data base dept of the Kmart Corp, Kathy is very excited to
be a part of the officers of the Dept of NC, and ready to serve each of her
sisters and our organization with pride.
